Child products are add-on or enhancement items that are attached to a parent product.
When a parent product is customized, QuoteAdvantage will
present the user with a list of choices from several categories. Each category will
have a set of radio buttons representing individual child products. The user will
select one item from each category in order to complete the quote.
After product add-ons or enhancements are selected, the Update Price button attaches
the selected child products to the parent product, validates the selections and
refreshes the price. During the validation process, configuration rules are enforced
for all of the child products that are attached to the parent product being customized.
